architectural and material information, and produces the engineering

MATERIALS AND ESTIMATING
Material take-offs can be generated instantaneously at any time during
the design process based on the current status of the plans. The cost of
materials and labour is merged from the item data base to the material
take-off to produce accurate estimates for cost comparisons and
budgeting. Once the design is complete, the final and accurate material
take-off, cutting lists and any other required reports can be produced
automatically. Material take-offs are instantly updated when changes and
modifications are made to the plans. VERTEX BD is the most efficient

WALL FRAMING
VERTEX BD generates the wall framing components automatically based on
the wall layout of the architectural plans and the wall type specific
framing rules. The dimensioning and cutting information of the panels
are generated automatically providing accurate and detailed
manufacturing information quickly and efficiently. This guarantees that
the framing components will be compatible with the rest of the plan and
every component will fit in place at the construction site reducing
delays and speeding up the entire construction process.
FLOOR FRAMING
The floor framing layouts are automatically generated based on the floor
deck areas and the associated framing parameters defined by the user.
The automatically generated joist layout can be easily customized by
inserting, cutting, trimming and deleting pieces. The joists are
labelled and the accurate cutting schedules are generated automatically.
These powerful and productive design tools allow you to provide your
subcontractors with detailed floor joist layout drawings and cutting
information, helping them to frame the floor to be compatible with your

ROOF FRAMING
VERTEX BD can generate both the roof truss and rafter layouts. The
automatically generated layouts can be easily modified similarly to the
floor framing and all the components are labelled and schedules are
generated automatically. Roof truss profile drawings are generated based
on the geometry of the walls, ceilings and roofs. The 3D model allows
you to verify and adjust the roof framing components to be compatible
with the other parts of the building – a good example of the quality
